Welcome to Action Against Hunger, a community service program administered on behalf of North Jersey by The Record, Herald News, (201) and Community Newspapers and Magazines of North Jersey Media Group. The program runs the largest one-day food drive in the metropolitan area and has helped feed those in need in North Jersey since 1991.

This year's Food Drive was held on Sunday, October 14, 2007 and what a successful drive it was! If you missed it, donations are still being accepted at The Record, 150 River St., Hackensack.

Our success depends on the time and caring of our donors and volunteers so thank you ALL! Soon we will post the results of the drive so stay tuned. Final totals will appear in The Record and Herald News on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22nd.

It's Never Ending - Please Contribute

What's It Worth?

What We Have Done With Your Help
In 2006 alone, the Foundation donated over $300,000 to local charities, individuals and initiatives. We have helped:

• educate and provide counseling to children displaced by Hurricane Katrina and children who suffered losses on 911
• feed thousands of our hungry neighbors through our Action Against Hunger™ Food Drive and our support of Table to Table™
• send underprivileged and disabled children to summer camp
• provide more affordable health care through our support of area hospitals
• assist low-income families with eldercare, childcare and other social services.

Your generous donation can ensure that we continue to help our New Jersey neighbors who need it most. Unlike most other nonprofits, the North Jersey Media Group Foundation's expenses are fully paid for by a private company (North Jersey Media Group) so that 100% of your donation goes to those who need it most. North Jersey Media Group - not the public - pays for all of our Foundation's administrative and overhead expenses.
